According to information from Organising Committee of eCom21, the registration rate of participants for the Baltics’ biggest international forum is a higher than previous years. As of a month and a half prior to the start of the forum, in comparison to a similar period of the last year the participation rate has grown 1.5 times.
The “eCom21” conference dedicated to topical issues of e-commerce is being held in Riga for the third time in succession. This year it will take place on 13-14 November; traditionally, its organiser is Rietumu Bank.
As with previous conferences, the coming one will be thematically focused. This year the main subject, which will become the headline of the conference, is Money 2.0. It will also be the focus of the forum – speeches, reports and discussions will be dedicated to electronic money, which is enjoying growing popularity in e-commerce.
Every year eCom21 gathers together hundreds of participants from the Baltic countries, Russia, the CIS countries, the EU, the USA, Southeast Asia and other regions – last year 25 countries were represented.
This year the first applications were conventionally submitted by entrepreneurs from the Baltic countries, Russia and Europe, among them being investment and finance companies, banks, traders, providers, representatives of the IT industry and others. Interest in the forum is also growing with respect to high-profile companies from Central Asia, Caucasus, the Middle and Far East, as well as other regions.
“Judging by how the registration of eCom21 participants is currently going, interest in the forum is very high – it has considerably surpassed our forecasts made prior to the start of the active information campaign. I think that this is due to the well-chosen subject of the conference and its reputation earned during previous years, when participants have praised both the high level of conference organisation and its excellent informative content,” noted Ruslan Stecyuk, Head of the Organising Committee of eCom21 and First Vice-president of Rietumu Bank.
Along with European and international resources, the eCom21 information campaign will attract mass media of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia and other countries. Business channels of regional TV, business press and specialised internet resources will be widely used.
Among the speakers who have already confirmed their participation in eCom21 are key players of the global and regional markets such as MasterCard and Visa, ECommPay, BitCoin, China Union Pay, Yandex.Money, Money.Mail.ru, QIWI, Payonline, World of Tanks/Wargaming. The forum will be attended by spokespersons of regulators from a number of EU countries, lawyers, consultants, IT professionals, top managers of European and Russian companies engaged in the servicing of online payments, and auditors.
The general partner is the global provider of online payments

“We are sincerely happy to see that the initiative of uniting industry specialists for the purpose of discussing payment innovations, recent tendencies in the field of financial technologies and topical changes in the industry is increasingly resonating with leading companies of e-commerce more and more.
