Rietumu Bank will once again participate in the biggest international exhibition in transport and logistics – the TransRussia exhibition. This year it will be held in Moscow between 22-25 April.
Over two decades TransRussia has been and still remains the biggest professional forum in Russia for major local and foreign companies that are engaged in transportation, transit, port business, and logistics, and in financing these industries.
Rietumu Bank is taking part in TransRussia for the third time in succession. Two previous exhibitions have turned out to be very productive for the bank, allowing it to establish new contacts and links which subsequently formed the basis for a mutually beneficial partnership and the development of new trends in the bank’s business in Russia and the CIS.
According to Renat Lokomet, a Member of the Board of Rietumu Bank, “TransRussia is one of the most authoritative professional platforms in Europe, one that gathers together representatives of the transport industry and related sectors. Our previous experience of working there has been quite successful; most of the contacts that we have established have been continued afterwards at a practical level. We feel that there is a good level of interest in our bank here, along with our products, especially in segments such as the financing of current operations, as well as in regard to new perspective projects in transit, logistics and international trade in general.”
Rietumu Bank offers a wide range of opportunities in terms of financing trade transactions for its clients, including different types of short-term lending against goods, export factoring, documentary letters of credit, documentary collection and guarantees. At present Rietumu is the only big bank in the Baltic countries that offers such services to its clients on a wide basis.
The clients of Rietumu Bank are also provided with financing for developing shipping business - predominantly in terms of projects in the regions around the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov, and the Caspian Sea, as well as for rolling stock modernisation so that freight can be delivered by railway.
Similarly to previous years, Rietumu Bank participates in the TransRussia 2014 exhibition on a joint basis with the Freeport of Riga and the Latvian logistics company, SRR.
The venue for the previous TransRussia exhibition was the All-Russia Exhibition Centre. The exhibition participants included 543 companies from 31 countries, including national pavilions presented by twelve countries. In 2013 the exhibition was attended by 25,000 visitors, who arrived from 53 countries and seventy regions of the Russian Federation. A total of 50% of these represented consumers of transport services and 30% were the suppliers of such services. This year the composition of participants is expected to expand.
Rietumu Bank traditionally invites attendees to visit its stand at the TransRussia exhibition, where they will have the chance to personally discuss the options available in regard to lending, trade finance, and other banking services with the bank’s leading experts.
