On the eve of its 20 th anniversary, the leading private bank in Latvia – Rietumu Bank – continues to please its clients with novelties. This time it will be MasterCard credit cards with a new design . A visual concept of these cards maintains the continuity of the previous designs. It keeps with modernistic minimalism with an accent on living and deep-toned colours.

The design of credit cards can actually be regarded as the issuer’s face which creates the first impression both about the bank and its client – the card holder. Therefore, Rietumu Bank sticks to the practice of the best international brands, periodically performing visual rebranding with the use of the latest trends in style.

The new design of the Rietumu Bank payment cards is associated with the basic noble metals known to mankind and, depending on the card’s level, the line evolves from simpler elements to the most precious ones.

The major classical card of MasterCard – Silk – stands apart in this range. Its symbol in the new design line is silk – the noble fabric, recognised due to its exceptional beauty and comfort.

“Image plays a significant role in the modern world, and a dull design is associated with insufficient creativity and a tendency for trivial solutions. With all seriousness of a credit card as a payment instrument, it also serves as an accessory, no less important one than a watch or a handbag. Therefore, we aim for our cards to be not only convenient and functional, but also beautiful,” says Mark Andreyev, Head of the Payment Cards Department of Rietumu Bank.

Design of the Rietumu Bank credit cards is traditionally one of the most original in the Baltic countries. Earlier, the bank’s cards received diplomas of international advertising festivals.

The new line of the Rietumu Bank credit cards includes Light, Classic, Business, Gold and Platinum cards of the MasterCard system.
