This biggest thematic forum in the Baltics is being held for the sixth time already and invariably under the patronage of Rietumu Bank.
The key theme of the current conference is “E-Commerce HD⊃2;: Homo Digitalis in High Definition”. The participants will consider how the focus on interests, needs and individual characteristics of ‘a human being online’ changes the forms and trends of business in e-commerce.
At the forum, the ‘stars’ of industry from both West and East will share their experience and vision of the future.
This year the conference will again be attended by one of its traditional guests – the Founding Board Director of Bitcoin Foundation, Chairman of Globitex and Vice President of Corporate Strategy for nChain Jon Matonis, whose speeches at previous eCom21 conferences have caused public interest. The ‘founder of bitcoin’ will talk about the latest trends in the victorious march of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, which exert an increasing influence on the financial world and internet payments in particular.
For the first time, the Head of ESET in Russia and the CIS, Denis Mateev, will participate at
eCom21. According to Mikhail Bode, Programme Director of eCom21,
“Last year discussions in the audience around the issues of cybersecurity showed that we have to talk about the practice of digital protection of businesses to a larger extent and more profoundly. Therefore, this year we have allocated a separate section for this theme.
Tom Golding, Vice-President of Accuity, will provide his expert opinion on the AMLD4 and AMLD5 directives and will consider the influence of enhanced regulation in the European trade area on the market. Among guests of the forum, there is also the Head of eBay in Russia and the emerging markets Ilya Kretov, CCO of Yandex.Money Alexander Magomedov, founder of the Data Insight research agency Fyodor Virin and many other professionals.
Mikhail Bode notes that eCom21 is primarily a conference for entrepreneurs and for real businesses, “Here a lot of attention is devoted to live communication – during expert sessions, discussions in the conference hall, on the sidelines of the conference and at exhibition stands. All opportunities are provided for the guests to be able to exchange opinions, discuss speeches and communicate to the speakers, establish new business contacts.”
Another ‘brand’ feature of eCom21 is its saturated evening programme on each day, where talks and meetings continue in an informal atmosphere.
Further information on the programme of eCom21 is available on the website of the conference ecom21.com. One can register for participation in the forum here. Until 1 October, the discount price is valid - EUR 700 for one participant, EUR 595 each for three and more participants.
